Whether you work regular shifts, pick up occasional cover or freelance for several clients, keep one view of your commitments. Use the steps below even if the companies you work with use different systems.
Check the full offer, not only the date.
Confirm the company, role, location, start and finish times, rate and any travel time before saying yes. If details are missing, ask for them in writing. Leave enough space between commitments to travel, rest and handle delays; a shift that does not overlap on paper may still be impossible to reach.
Block out time you cannot offer.
Keep your personal calendar current and tell each company when you are unavailable. You do not need to explain every private reason for a blocked period. Review your availability after accepting any new work, especially when two companies may ask for the same days.
Do not assume one employer can see work arranged in another company's system. If your tools are separate, update both your personal calendar and each relevant availability setting.
Keep the latest agreement easy to find.
When a time, location or role changes, confirm the new details through the channel the company uses for shift offers. Save the accepted version and check whether the original shift was cancelled. If you cannot work, decline or raise the issue promptly rather than leaving an offer unanswered.
Record what you worked and query differences early.
Keep a simple record of arrival, finish and breaks. Review a submitted timesheet against that record while the shift is fresh. Approved hours help you resolve a discrepancy, but they are not proof that wages or an invoice have been paid. Keep your own payment records too.
One free profile for connected companies.
With Operations OS, a worker can use one free profile with multiple verified companies. Accepted shifts from those connected workplaces appear together, and a company can see that you are unavailable without seeing the private reason or another workplace's details. You choose whether to share a Network introduction or CV when applying for an opportunity.
Operations OS does not automatically import commitments from employers that do not use it, so keep those times in your own calendar and availability. NW Network opportunities depend on companies posting in your area and are for workers aged 18 or over. Browser access is available now; iPhone, iPad and Android apps are coming soon, subject to store approval.
